Sunday School

The Sunday school is located down stairs in the church, and may be accessed via the door off the parking lot in the back of the church.

Rally Day (the first Sunday after Labor Day) is the official start of our Sunday School year that lasts until the Sunday before Memorial Day Weekend. Children three years old and up are welcome. We begin promptly at 9:00am and end at 10:15 to allow families to attend worship with their children.

The morning begins with a group worship time modeled after our church service that includes candle lightning, singing, offertory, prayer, and discussion of joys and sorrows. Announcements and a review of the church season are also included. The children are then presented with a story/lesson in either small or whole group fashion depending on the ages of the children in attendance. Videos, crafts, snacks, and games are used to reinforce the lesson. Sleepovers, chowder making, and visits to local senior living, and family bowling are other activities during the year. Breakfast with the Bunny is a new event this year.

The Sunday school relies on offering, and a Christmas and Easter Candy Sale for funding. A majority of the money collected is used for mission projects; such as an Adopt-a Family Christmas Program and a joint Vacation Bible School with St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran that we offer in the summer. In addition, a specific mission project is held during the spring. In the past this has focused on the NT Food Pantry, the Clothes Closet, Hurricane Katrina, Canine Helpers, Baby products for Niagara County Action, and most recently School Kits for Church World Services.

Growing the Fruit of the Spirit!

Our Vacation Bible School ( ST PETERS UCC and ST. PAUL EVANG. LUTHERAN ) this year was from Monday, July 21st through Friday, July 25th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Through the examples of Jesus and His parables, 45 of God's children that came to VBS  will continue to grow a crop of love, sprout joy, plant peace, produce some patience, and pick a bushel of kindness! A special thanks to Pastor Mark, Pastor Sharon, and all the people that put in their love and time to help the kids understand God's "LOVE", "PEACE", "JOY", "PATIENCE" AND "KINDNESS".
